Association For the Physically Challenged, provides holistic and fundamental services to physically challenged adults and children at no charge, throughout the Province of KwaZulu-Natal.

The Association is a well established registered provincial non-profit organisation providing a range of services to persons with physical disabilities. The operations of the branch include a residential facility, craft training workshop and several outreach programmes.

 

 

Job Title: Bookkeeper 
Location: Provincial Headquarters in Sherwood, Durban

Responsibilities:

  • Processing of accounting procedures for all branches
  • Preparation of monthly income and expenditure statements as well as Balance Sheets for all branches
  • Payment of salaries and completion of relevant statutory returns including all monthly/annual SARS requirements
  • EFT payments for branch accounts
  • Account queries
  • Reconciliation of Department of Social Development subsidies as well as other funded programmes
  • Completion of financial requirements for Department of Social Development funding and evaluation documentation
  • Liaising with SARS and banking institutions

Requirements:

  • Proof of tertiary education in bookkeeping
  • A minimum of eight years bookkeeping  experience in a financial management post
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Excellent filing and organizational skills
  • Code 08 drivers license and own reliable vehicle
  • Traceable recent references
