Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
IT System infrastructure support
Oversee all connectivity between sites and ensure uptime
Oversee all IT hardware, including the outsourced hardware
Oversee all virtual server setups and server maintenance
Oversee all server setups to support the custom systems
Oversee all Cloud PABX services
Oversee all Office 365 services
Oversee all SQL services and data warehousing
Custom Systems support
Oversee all custom systems that they are working to the way they were designed
Assist with systems design with the development departments
Oversee all testing of the custom systems to ensure they work according to design spec or release notes
Oversee the transactions through SQL to ensure 100% accuracy in the platforms
Help with troubleshooting database and system issues and report any to the development department. Ability to read log files and error codes
Custom systems management
Ensure all systems are documented and working to the designs
Ensure the support team are trained and knows how to support the systems
Ensure a rotational support structure is in place for after-hours support for system systems or maintenance
Helpdesk management
Ensure staff are trained on the helpdesk policies and procedures
Ensure all support issues are logged on the helpdesk
Ensure all SLAs to customers are adhered to
Ensure the company has proper redundancy for supporting the solutions
Ensure the company follows all ISO policies and procedures and ensure all policy and procedures are understood by all staff and reviewed yearly
Desired Experience & Qualification:
Grade 12
Diploma or Degree in IT administration, MCSE, ITIL, etc.
5+ years in a senior/similar position
2-3 years in supporting customer-built systems.
Pastel Evolution
Windows 2012, 2019 and 2022+ server
Knowledge of Socket connections and web services
SOAP UI experience to use to test systems
SQL 2012 and 2019+ Server and SQL replication
Data warehousing and transactional flows of data in systems
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP Experience
Working with IIS and Certificates for websites
Virtual Server Experience, Azure or AWS experience a bonus
Knowledge of all forms of internet connectivity
Firewall Knowledge of rules and IPSEC
IT Security knowledge and design practices in security network and systems
Mobile phone knowledge and inner workings of the operating systems features
Knowledge of IT best practices for change control, implementations etc.
