Specification
•Ability to administer seamlessly a 1000 user IT environment, Microsoft 365, Windows 10 with Checkpoint firewall and VPN.
•Manage desktop support staff
•Identify IT needs in terms of critical technology requirements within the organisation
•Facilitate failure analyses investigations
•Compile and maintain database of relevant service providers
•Collect feedback from line managers and supervisors regarding the impact of technology at the workplace
•Ensure currency of hardware and software and ensure timeous and cost-effective updates in line with business needs
•Manage IT documentation and records
•Complete monthly reporting of IT activities, unresolved issues, threats and planned activities
•Management information updated on the system and audited for currency.
•Ensure the efficacy of systems such as T&A, access control systems, machinery operations etc. as required
•Facilitate an effective user support system through the management of a Helpdesk function
•Manage IT projects as appropriate
•Ensure the development of new programmes as required to meet developing business needs
•Maintain discipline
•Action and correct deviant behaviour timeously where necessary/possible
•Support performance management
•Ensure all positions have current job descriptions
•Complete accurate performance assessments timeously
•Hold career development discussions at least annually
•Provide day-to-day support to training staff
•Complete goal setting and performance contracts timeously
•Investigate and action poor performance (e.g. damage, quality issues, etc.)
•Develop required training skills
•Identify skills development and training needs
•Identify and utilise coaching opportunities
•Identify and utilise training opportunities

Requirements

• 3 – 5 years’ experience in a related role
• BSc Comp Science preferred
• 5 years Office 365 / Exchange Mail admin
• 5 years Microsoft Hyper V admin
• 5 years Checkpoint Firewall admin
• 5 years AWS and Azure admin
• Ubuntu expert
• 5 years Microsoft SQL database administration
