We are pleased to inform you about  Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality Bursary South Africa Incorporated Bursary South Africa 2023.

ABOUT THE COMPANY – MAKHUDUTHAMAGA LOCAL MUNICIPALITY

The Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality is situated in Limpopo Province, within the Sekhukhune District Municipality. The Category B4 municipality is bordered by Elias Motsoaledi, Fetakgomo, Ephraim Mogale and Lepelle Nkumpi Municipality. The meaning behind the naming of the Municipality is that Makhuduthamaga means “executives” – a term for the Fetakgomo movement in the 50’s.

The rural municipality is powered by traditional land ownership, has a population of more than 270 000 residents and over 65 000 households. The Municipality is spread over an area of more than 2000sqm and the main language is spoken across the main areas is Sepedi.

ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED & COVERAGE VALUE

Bursaries will be awarded within the following fields of study:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Mining Engineering
  • Environmental and Waste Management
  • Town and Regional Planning
  • Finance
  • Accounting (Bcom)
  • Economics

The bursary award will provide full coverage for the following expenses: tuition fees, registration fees, study materials, meals and accommodation in residence.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • South African citizen
  • Reside within the Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality jurisdiction area
  • Completed Matric
  • Studying or plan on studying full-time within one of the aforementioned fields of study (undergraduate)
  • Studying at a registered and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
  • Excellent academic record
  • Proven financial need

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your completed application form (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application be disregarded):

  • June academic report (certified copy)
  • Matric certificate/ progress report (certified copy)
  • Proof of residence
  • Acceptance/ provisional acceptance letter from your chosen tertiary institution
  • Parents/ guardians ID documents (certified copies)
  • Parents/ guardians proof of income (latest payslips if employed/ sworn affidavit if unemployed)
