Note that you will need your official South African ID or foreign passport in order to complete the registration process.
You should register to write the SAE Institute test(s) at your own choice of venue and date, at least one month prior to the date on which the SAE Institute test(s) is/are to be written. Please note that seats are limited at the SAE Institute venues. If you do not register and pay for the SAE Institute test(s) in advance, you will not be able to write.
If you do not have access to the Internet or encounter problems during the registration process, you may either call or send an email to the SAE Institute via the SAE Institute website for assistance.
Payments
All SAE Institute Registration Fees must be paid through the website. Take your SAE Institute registration letter with you to an Easy Paypoint near you to pay. You may also pay on the SAE Institute website: and then print out your receipt.
The SAE Institute Registered applicants who do not report for the SAE Institute scheduled tests, must again register and pay in order to reschedule a missed test. Please note that you may not write only the MATHEMATICS test.

SAE Institute Registration procedure
Registration to write the SAE Institute is done through the Internet and takes about five minutes to complete. Open your browser to the SAE Institute Website:⇒https://www.sae.edu.za or (SAE Institute Student Portal) (After reading the SAE Institute general information and the SAE Institute FAQs, select the “Register to write” tab and follow all instructions. Note that you will need your official South African ID or foreign passport in order to complete the registration process.
